Message From the School Business Administrator/
Board Secretary
Welcome Back! I wish you all a wonderful and successful school year.
Our Building & Grounds staff have been busy getting the building ready for the 2010-2011 school year.
For those readers not familiar with our school or community, the following is a brief description of our town. The Township of Bedminster with approximately 8,421 residents and 26.7 square miles, is one of Somerset County's oldest municipalities, chartered in 1749. Bedminster is steeped in colonial and Revolutionary War history. The Township was founded as an agricultural center and during the 19th century, the beauty of the area attracted many wealthy families who built expensive estates. It remained a quiet rural area until the 1970's when I-78 was opened along its southern edge, and I-287 crossed at the eastern border. The Township is comprised of several villages: Bedminster Village, Burnt Mills, Lamington, Pluckemin, Pottersville and Union Grove.
Our office provides a variety of services directly supporting the students, staff and community of the Bedminster Township School District. The business office oversees the following: budget and finance, maintenance and operations, school lunch program, transportation and payroll and benefits. We are committed to providing outstanding service to our students, staff and parents, and are fiscally responsible to our community. Students are at the forefront of each decision that is made.
We're proud to announce that we have received a Safety Award for the fifth consecutive year, from NJ School Boards Association Insurance Group (NJSBAIG), in recognition of our ongoing commitment to the safety and security of our students and school. We are in the top ten percent of the safest schools in the State, represented by NJSBAIG. We also received a $5,000 grant from NJSBAIG to be used toward our safety and security initiative.
