This "Open-ended scoring rubric" from the State of New Jersey is used to score many kinds of writing particularly open ended questions on tests, quizzes and lab assessments.

Grade calculation.

Science grades are earned by successful completon of Tests, Quizzes, Labs, Homework, and Classwork/Notebooks/Journals.  Students have an opportnity to earn points in each catagory.   Earning 90% of the points available results in a grade of A-.
