What did you do today?!?
Each day in Kindergarten, we start with an interactive morning meeting where we discuss our days, including what our schedule looks like for the day. Our classroom curricula of Lanuguage Arts, Math, science and social studies are throughout the day; each time we are in our own classroom. In addition, each day has lunch, playtime, snack and specials at specific times. In our main subect areas (language arts, math, social studies and science), we are focusing on a variety of themes and lessons. Maybe you keep hearing "I don't know!" in response to your question of "What did you do in school today?" Well, here are some questions related to our themes and curriculum you can ask your child for the following weeks: February 11th & February 18th: Language Arts What sound do these letters make? What is the picture associated with the letters: t, b, f, n, m, c, a, i, r, o, g, d, s, e, u, l, h, k, p, j, v, w, x, y, z What is known as the "chicken" letter? Show your mother or father how you track a sentence. Spell the popcorn words: is, a, the, we, and, if, in, of, no, and, see, went How do you spell your last name?
