Student 2Class Overview

G&T classes for Grades 5,6,7 and 8

Classes will begin in September and end in November, culminating with a project exposition that day.
 
Grade 5: We will be studying the amazing world of flight. We will race cross country, research the science,history and people who make flying exciting. Get your wings on!

Grade 6: Are you an inventor, or ever wanted to be one? Now is your chance to find out how the world's best inventions were successful, and how you can also tap into your creativity and invent something new. Thinking caps are required.

Grade 7: We are going to explore the world of Imagineering. How did they create Disneyworld, Universal Studios, Great Adventure and the World's Fairs? We will be studying and creating a playland wonder of our own after studying the models of the greatest entertainment parks of the world.

Grade 8: There are many great competitions designed specifically for your special interests. We will be using our classroom time so that you can compete with the world of extraordinary students locally and nationally.

NOTE: In addition to the main topics above, we will also spend one day a week working on competitions in New Jersey and nationally. These include, but are not limited to "The Stock Market Game", "Law Fair and Law Adventure (mock trials) Competition", "Playwright's Festival". Other choices will follow.

SWE continues to cover Crime Scene Investigation (Grade 5), Toy Design (Grade 6), Bridge Building (Grade 7) and Photography and Movie Making (Grade 8.) Check back for details before the December start date.

G&T for grades 3 and 4 will begin in October. Topics will cover:

 Grade 3: Time Capsules. Students will create a time capsule about themselves and seal them up. These will be opened when they graduate from high school. Farming will be studied later in the year.

Grade 4: Heroes. Do you have a hero you wish to know more about? Do you know a local hero we should know about? Let's study what makes a hero, and how we can become one ourselves. We will also be competing in a few select competitions. Stay tuned.
