| Message From the Director of Student Services Welcome to the Department of Special Services! As we begin the new school year, we are very pleased that the Bedminster Township School District will continue to offer a full complement of student services and programs in compliance with state and federal legislation. These include services provided by Child Study Team members, School Counselors, Speech/Language Specialists, an Occupational Therapist, a Physical Therapist, Nurses, and Special Education teachers and instructional assistants. These services are designed to identify and serve students who have special needs and to provide additional interventions, programs, or services either within general or special education. This year we will continue collaborating with the Somerset Hills School District and we'll continue to offer parent workshops in Bedminster and Bernardsville. The workshops will be presented by our very talented staff from both school districts. Please check back for topics, dates, times, and locations. The goals of our workshops are to share information among parents regarding services in our districts and in our communities, to provide resources to assist parents in meeting the needs of their child with special needs, and to develop a network of support. We're very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and talented staff! Please come out and join us. We would love to see you at the meetings/workshops! On an ending note, we encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding your child. As a reminder, if your child is currently enrolled in an Early Intervention program, their services will be terminated when they turn age three. If you feel they will need continued special services, please be sure to contact our office at least four months before your child's third birthday.
