2013 School Election

Tuesday, November 5, 2013

Polls will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm at the following locations:

Election Information

Effective in 2012, annual school district elections will be held on the first Tuesday in November.   Registered voters will be asked to choose members of the Board of Education.  The vote on the budget is not required so long as the budget proposed in April is not more than 2% higher than the General Fund budget.

 
Information regarding the District’s proposed budget is discussed at public Board of Education meetings. The public hearing on the budget was held on March 28, 2013 at 7:30pm at the BedminsterTownship School, 234 Somerville Road, Bedminster, NJ  07921

Voter Registration

To be eligible to vote:

  • Residents must be at least 18 years old;
  • Citizens of the United States;

  • Must have been living in the State and the County for at least 30 days;

  • Must have registered at least 21 days prior to the election.

Anyone already registered to vote in general elections 
may also vote in school elections.

Voter registration applications are available in the main lobby at the Bedminster Township School.  They can also be obtained by contacting:

Absentee Ballots

In New Jersey, any voter can now vote by mail for any election.
Voters no longer need a reason for an Absentee Ballot.

A voter may apply for a Vote by Mail ballot by completing a Vote by Mail Application and mailing the application to:

at least 7 days prior to the election.

A voter may also apply in person at the Somerset County Clerk’s Office
until 3:00pm, the day before the election.

The County Clerk cannot accept faxed copies of a Vote by Mail application since an original signature is required.

Vote by Mail ballots must be completed for each election.
