Listen up, Bulldogs! It is time for this week's Bulldog Book Blast! Today's pick is for middle school students, a book called Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks by Jason Reynolds.
This story was going to begin like all the best stories. With a school bus falling from the sky. But no one saw it happen. They were all too busy—

Talking about boogers.
Stealing pocket change.
Skateboarding.
Wiping out.
Braving up.
Executing complicated handshakes.
Planning an escape.
Making jokes.
Finding comfort.
But mostly, too busy walking home.

Jason Reynolds creates ten tales (one per block) about what happens after the dismissal bell rings, and brilliantly weaves them into one wickedly funny look at the detours we face on the walk home, and in life. Ask your ELA teacher about it today!

More than half of bullying situations (57%) stop when a peer intervenes on behalf of the student being bullied, so please remember to stand up for someone when he or she needs it. When you need it, someone will stand up for you.

If you are being bullied, if you are a witness to bullying, or if you are bullying others, talk to a trusted adult. This is the best way to make sure that the bullying is addressed and that all involved parties get the help they need.

The Wellness Committee and BTS Student Council are proud to announce that we will be giving you a weekly wellness tip every Monday! Here's the Wellness Tip of the Week:
