We don't all have to be the same.
We don't all have to think the same.
We don't all have to act the same.
We don't all have to talk the same.
We don't all have to dress the same.
We don't all have to believe the same things.
We have the right to be ourselves.
We like it that people are different.
We know that our differences make us interesting and unique.
We honor different ways of being, acting, believing - even when we don't agree with them.
We do our best to solve problems peacefully.
We speak up if we see others being treated unfairly.
We treat each other the way we'd like to be treated.
We treat each other with respect.
Our classroom is STUDENT-CENTERED. This means the teacher is the facilitator and the students help to create the environment we live in 6 hours a day Monday - Friday! Students will be expected to complete their classroom job to make sure our class runs smoothly.
||Joke of the Day
Each week students are expected to read/write for 100 minutes and practice math for 100 minutes. The minutes practiced and how they practiced should be recorded in their monthly practice log. Parents please just sign off that your student did practice, but please only if they actually did practice. We want to work as a team to teach honesty, integrity and hard work because these are crucial life lessons that all people (big and small) must learn. This monthly practice log will be kept in a page protector in their home folders and will be collected at the end of the month. It is the primary homework grade, so try not to lose it!
