1)  Check with your parent(s) to make sure all the cleaning supplies (chemicals/poison) in your house is in a safe place and out of reach from danger.

2)  Explain to your your parent(s) what you would do if you see cleaning supplies (chemicals/poison) out in the open in the shed/garage.

3)  Discuss with your parent(s) what you should do if chemicals/poison gets on your skin or clothes.

3)  Discuss with your parent(s) what activities/sports you should wear a helmet to participate in..

1)  Check with your parent(s) to make sure all the medicine in your house is in a safe place and out of reach from danger.

2)  Explain to your your parent(s) what you would do if you found medicine/pills on the ground.

3)  Discuss with your parent(s) why they are the one to give you medicine and why you should not get it for yourself.

 

All 1st grade students will have Health with me for two consecutive marking periods during the year.

Ms. Spero         3rd & 4th Marking Period (Fridays)

The students will be learning about Safety during their first marking period and Emotional Health (self-esteem and feelings) the second.
