We will be doing some old fashioned mechanical drawing with t-squares, triangles and pencils, as well as technical drawing on the computer. I believe it is important to give the kids a foundation to work from. If they know where these tools and ideas originated, they are better prepared when they sit down at the computer. In addition, learning how to draw objects in one point perspective supports their visualization skills and the middle school art curriculum.
